Antennas & Wave Propagation
I. My Antennas & Wave Propagation Group Project:
Project Title:"Design of Antenna with Technical Specifications"
Helical Antenna:is a specialized antenna that can emit and respond with rotating circular polarization.
Polarization: is the trace of the tip of the electric field (E) in the x-y plane if the wave is in the z-direction.
Axial Ratio (AR): is the ratio of the major axis to the minor axis for the elliptical polarization where it equals to 20 log (Emax/Emin).
Emax = The Major Axis & Emin = The Minor Axis.
Directivity: is the value of directive gain (Dg) in the direction of its maximum value.
Gain of Antenna: is a description of both directional and efficiency properties of an antenna where it equals to the directivity multiplied by the efficiency of an antenna.
Our Helical Antenna Design Specifications:
f =10 GHz , N=15, Diameter of Ground Plate = 22.5 mm, D0 = 89.76,
AR = 1.033
