Dr. Nadeem A Khan

(Innovative Member of KWTI) 


Dr. Nadeem A Khan currently holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Mewat Engineering College, India, albeit presently on leave. He has previously served as the Head of Department (HoD) from 2014 to 2017. Presently, Dr. Khan is engaged as a Postdoctoral Fellow at KFUPM, Saudi Arabia, an institution ranked 106th according to QS rankings.

 

His academic journey includes the completion of his Ph.D. from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, in 2022. Notably, he assumed the role of Co-project Coordinator from 2018 to 2022, managing funds totaling approximately 05 Crore Rupees under the Government of India Project, WAMSI, focusing on the mapping of Waqf Properties in Haryana district, India.

 

Currently collaborating with Dr. Parveen, a distinguished scientist from IISC, Bangalore, Dr. Khan is involved in various projects concerning wastewater and its treatment. His academic credentials include an M.Tech. in Civil Engineering, specializing in Environmental Engineering, from Aligarh Muslim University, India, earned with honors in 2011.

 

Dr. Khan's research contributions extend to serving as an Editorial Board Member of prestigious journals such as Nature journal-Scientific Reports, Springer journal special issue of Discover Water, and the Hindawi Journal special issue, among others, with an impressive publication record comprising 80 papers in SCI journals and 04 books with international publishers.

 

Additionally, Dr. Khan holds more than 10 patents in Civil Engineering and water treatment. His dedication to academic and scientific pursuits is further evidenced by his participation in numerous conferences, workshops, seminars, and research projects.

 

Notably, Dr. Khan has been recognized with the Best Young Scientist Award (Male) by LWT India and GECL for his significant contributions to Environmental Engineering. Prior engagements with the Ministry of Environment and Forest (India) and UNICEF as a Junior Research Fellow and Research Assistant, respectively, have enriched his professional journey. Furthermore, Dr. Khan actively engages in social welfare activities, reflecting his commitment to broader community welfare.
